Rob & Si

Where do you even begin with a pair who’ve been dropping beats since the days when rave was king? Rob & Si started their takeover in the late 80s/early 90s, not with a fancy promoter, but by seizing control of the dancefloor themselves. Their humble—and sweaty—beginnings involved throwing their own legendary parties upstairs at Cinderella’s (Fifth Avenue) in Maidenhead. If you were there, you definitely remember that place.

After conquering the Home Counties, it was time to take on the capital. We broadened our horizons and hit London, bringing our sound to some of the most infamous underground spots. There are too many nights and venues to list, but notable nights at Hudson’s in Vauxhall, the deep, dark Crypt in Brixton, and bagging a coveted guest spot at the legendary Gallery, Turnmills.

Our next move was to the airwaves. In 1994, we committed to the pirate radio hustle, earning our stripes on a newly formed Point Blank FM. We started in the deepest, darkest graveyard shift, but the noise we were making was too loud to ignore. Within weeks, we were promoted to the sacred Friday 10 'til midnight slot—a residency we held firmly for several formative years.

The early 2000s saw us take a brief, well-deserved pit stop, only to return with a vengeance. We landed a 5-year residency at Bar51 in Windsor, where we had the pleasure of sharing the decks and working alongside some of the dance industry’s biggest names.

It was during this era that we made our glorious return to pirate radio on MoreFM, which later evolved into Release FM. Securing the vital 8 'til 10 slot on Sunday nights, we birthed the concept that would define our sound and legacy: The Back to Ours show.

This passion project ran strong on Release for nearly a full decade, proving its staying power. Then, in the face of global standstill during Covid, we took the ultimate DIY leap, setting up our very own station: B2O Radio. This independent venture kept the vibes flowing and the community connected for a further three electric years.

Which brings us right up to the present day! We've come full circle and are absolutely buzzing to continue the Back To Ours legacy on Slim Radio, returning it to its original, much-loved slot. Get ready—we’re looking forward to catching up with you all soon!
